FREDERICK LIEN joined Strumwasser & Woocher after receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Pomona College, where he conducted research in the field of metaphysics and was a volunteer advocate for the homeless with General Relief. His senior thesis concerned linguistics and value theory.

Mr. Lien has also worked with the Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County and volunteering at the Pomona Self-Help Center, where he provided assistance to low-income families, principally in family-law and unlawful-detainer matters. Mr. Lien grew up in Singapore and Hong Kong and is conversant in both Mandarin and Cantonese.
