Dale Larson

Associate

DALE LARSON joined Strumwasser & Woocher after working as an associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP. Mr. Larson previously clerked for the Honorable Consuelo B. Marshall of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

Mr. Larson received his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law, where he was an Emil J. Stache Public Interest Law Scholar, a graduate of the Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy, and a senior editor on the UCLA Law Review. While at UCLA, Mr. Larson published a comment in the UCLA Law Review and articles in the Maryland Journal of Race, Religion, Gender & Class and the DePaul Journal for Social Justice.

Mr. Larson's practice focuses on election and education law. Mr. Larson has drafted trial court and appellate briefs, managed discovery, negotiated settlements, argued in many courts throughout the state of California, and prevailed in trial.

Mr. Larson was the 2011 recipient of ACLU's Social Justice Award and Public Counsel Law Center's Pro Bono Award for Impact Litigation for his work on Reed v. Los Angeles Unified School District, a civil-rights lawsuit that ameliorated adverse effects on low-income and minority students of seniority-based teacher layoffs.

After graduating from Duke University in his home state of North Carolina with a degree in Political Science and Mathematics, Mr. Larson worked as a high school Mathematics teacher in Tanzania for over two years, as a technology consultant for the U.S. Army, and as an online project manager for a political advocacy organization.

Mr. Larson is currently a Lecturer in Law at UCLA School of Law.
